Student Self Management System

The central aim of Student Self-Management System (SSMS), is to reduce student referrals to special education programs, decrease problem behavior in upper elementary classrooms, and transfer responsibility for student behavior from externally applied teacher controls to internally applied student controls through an effective four-step process of student self-management: self-monitoring, self-recording, self-evaluating, self-reinforcing.

We will be conducting focus groups with teachers beginning in fall of 2011.
