Dr. Geoff Colvin draws on his experience as a classroom teacher and administrator, researcher at the University of Oregon and a national public school consultant. While recognized as a national expert on school safety and violence prevention, Dr. Colvin has consulted with and provided in-service for educators in more than 100 school districts and agencies nationwide. He directed a juvenile detention school for five years and a county-wide program for seriously emotionally disturbed youth, also for five years.
Dr. Colvin has authored more than 60 publications and videos on teaching students with problem behavior. More recently he worked as a research associate at the U of O and consultant in the areas of school wide discipline, school climate, school safety and violence prevention. His extensive knowledge and lively speaking style have made him a popular speaker at national conferences.
