Dr. Domenech Rodríguez is a Professor of Psychology at Utah State University. She began her appointment at USU in 2000. Her research focuses on family processes in Spanish-speaking Latino families. She has over 20 years of involvement in research with Latino children, adolescents, and families, and 15 years of experience with the Parent Management Training – Oregon (PMTO) model in research and applied contexts.
Dr. Domenech Rodríguez lead or supported active programs of PMTO-research in México, Puerto Rico, and Michigan. Dr. Domenech Rodríguez is a licensed psychologist in Utah, Idaho and Puerto Rico. She obtained her doctoral degree at Colorado State University in 1999. There she trained at the Tri-Ethnic Center for Prevention Research. She also completed a postdoctoral fellowship with the Family Research Consortium - III at the University of Washington. Melanie was born and raised in Puerto Rico and currently lives in Logan, UT. She has two daughters.
